Best Android on Verizon: The HTC ThunderBolt has been released, putting it above the DROID 2 as Verizon’s number one Android. This is the first 4G LTE phone to be launched by Verizon making it the fastest cell phone by a long shot! (the other Androids are running on the 3G network) 
The big Pluses are:
- Lighting quick 4G internet speeds
- Large, gorgeous display (4.3-inch)
- Classy interface
- Simultaneous voice and data (surf the web and talk at the same time)
- Large storage
Negatives:
- The battery will probably only last you a day or so (1400 mAh battery)
- Heavy (6.4 ounces) and bulky at 4.8 x 2.6 x 0.5 inches (HWD)
- Some bugs still need to be ironed out

Personally I think that the DROID Pro by Motorola is also a very interesting option, and would be my runner up. This Droid is going after the corporate sect. It boasts a built in QWERTY keypad and a slightly smaller screen giving it the resemblance of the BlackBerry.
This phone has strong enterprise ready features, such as built in Exchange support and corporate ready security controls. In addition, the phone supports both CDMA and GSM networks giving you service in more than 200 countries. Like the DROID 2 the Droid Pro can function as a mobile hotspot, but has greater battery life at 7.2 hours of talk.
About Verizon Wireless: Verizon Wireless is the largest cell phone provider in the US with 94.1 million subscribers (Q4 2010). The company is partly owned by British mobile operator, Vodafone, this making international calling that much easier.
About Android: The Android operating system (OS) is an open-source software stack for mobile devices and is held by Google Inc. There are a number of companies that manufacture mobile handsets that run on the Android OS, such as Motorola, Samsung, LG, T-Mobile, etc. In quarter 4 2010 the Android OS dislodged Nokia’s Symbian OS as the world’s best selling platform. It is now the most popular smart phone OS in the US, representing 28.7 percent.

Verizon Speed: Verizon is the fastest laptop modem provider in the US. Their 4G LTE service available in 38 US markets gave an average download speed of 6.5 mbps (average upload speed of 5 mbps), which is twice as fast as the second best provider (T-Mobile). 
With the exception of the HTC Thunderbolt which is the fastest phone available with an average upload speed of 9.6Mbps, Verizon has the slowest speeds out of the four major providers. This is due to their Androids (exception of the HTC Thunderbolt) running the 3G CDMA network with an average download speed of 1.01mbps.

Conclusion: Verizon is one of the leading service provider in the US with a high quality and reliable service. The plans are slightly on the pricey side and the connection speed is the slower than At&t, T-Mobile and Sprint. However, Verizon gives you one of the best selection of Andriod devices available. The HTC ThunderBolt takes first place out of the Verizon Androids, with the DROID Pro by Motorola being a good alternative option if you are more corporate orientated and spend most of your time emailing/ texting.
